Properties
This Baroque frame is made of ayous and tulipwood perfectly combined together. We do that to strengthen the structure of the frame. Tulipwood is in the back and ayous in the front of the frame. Tulipwood is very resistant and heavy while ayous is soft and light and very easy to work with. Customize the rabbet size as you prefer. For instance, if you want to show a bigger part of the painting you can ask to reduce it.

Antique dark color
This Reproduction of Spanish style picture frame will look like an original model. To reach that great result we put into practice ancient techniques to darken the surface of the frame. We melt dark green earth powder in shellack and we apply it on top of the surface. Several hands of it. We then complete the aging process by hitting the frame with a stone to create a few fake tiny broken parts. Wormholes are fake as well. They are made with long thin nails one by one with great care.
